“На минулому тижні мали честь представляти Дніпровський театр опери та балету на осінній конференції Opera Europa, яка відбулася у Grand Théâtre de Genève.
Це вперше, коли наш театр узяв участь у такому масштабному форумі, який об’єднує провідні європейські оперні інституції.
Конференція Opera Europa – це зустріч фахівців.
Її мета – співпраця, обмін досвідом, підтримка інновацій та розвиток оперного мистецтва у сучасному світі.
Ми обговорювали виклики, перед якими стоїть опера сьогодні: як залишатися актуальною, відкритою для нових ідей, стійкою, інклюзивною й технологічно сучасною.
Для нас це була можливість представити Дніпровську оперу, розповісти про наші постановки, мистецькі пошуки, про команду, яка творить культуру навіть у надзвичайно складних умовах.
І я щиро вдячний колегам із різних країн за інтерес, теплі слова та відгуки про високий рівень нашого театру.
Вчора завершився останній день конференції – дуже важливий.
Ми активно працювали не лише на панелях, а й у кулуарах: провели десятки розмов, знайомилися, пояснювали, переконували.
Адже, на жаль, не всі керівники європейських театрів до кінця розуміють, що означає блокування ідеології “русского міра” у культурі.
Для нас це не про політику – це про цінності, свободу й правду, які ми відстоюємо щодня.
Особливу подяку висловлюю Luke O’Shaughnessy, директору Opera Vision, та Sebastian F. Schwarz, модератору робочої платформи, – за підтримку, організацію та довіру до українського культурного середовища.
У рамках конференції вдалося провести низку важливих перемовин щодо майбутньої співпраці з колегами з кількох провідних європейських театрів.
Сподіваюся, що від перемовин до практичної реалізації пройде зовсім небагато часу.”

“Last week, we had the honor of representing the Dnipro Opera and Ballet Theater at the autumn Opera Europa conference, which took place at the Grand Théâtre de Genève.
This is the first time that our theater has taken part in such a large-scale forum that brings together leading European opera institutions.
The Opera Europa conference is a meeting of specialists.
Its goal is cooperation, exchange of experience, support for innovation and the development of opera art in the modern world.
We discussed the challenges facing opera today: how to remain relevant, open to new ideas, sustainable, inclusive and technologically modern.
For us, this was an opportunity to present the Dnipro Opera, talk about our productions, artistic searches, and the team that creates culture even in extremely difficult conditions.
And I am sincerely grateful to colleagues from different countries for their interest, warm words and feedback on the high level of our theater.
The last day of the conference ended yesterday – a very important one.
We worked actively not only on the panels, but also on the sidelines: we had dozens of conversations, got to know each other, explained, and convinced.
After all, unfortunately, not all heads of European theaters fully understand what blocking the ideology of the “Russian world” in culture means.
For us, this is not about politics – it is about values, freedom, and truth that we defend every day.
I would like to express special gratitude to Luke O’Shaughnessy, director of Opera Vision, and Sebastian F. Schwarz, moderator of the working platform, for their support, organization, and trust in the Ukrainian cultural environment.
As part of the conference, we managed to hold a number of important negotiations regarding future cooperation with colleagues from several leading European theaters.
I hope that very little time will pass from negotiations to practical implementation.”
